For us, data is a matter of trust. We at Value Scale GmbH only collect the data that is absolutely necessary for the fulfilment of our tasks (data minimisation). Stored data is carefully managed and protected from misuse of any kind.

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the new federal data protection regulations (hereinafter referred to as the German Data Protection Act), every person has the right to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. Since we operate throughout Europe, our data processing is not only in accordance with the nFADP but also with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Provision of the website (log files)


Description and scope of data processing


When you visit our website, information of a general nature is automatically transmitted. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of the Internet service provider, the IP address, referrer URL, date and time of access and the like.


In particular, the data will be processed for the following purposes:

  1. Ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
  2. Ensuring a smooth use of our website, as well as
  3. Ensuring and evaluating system security and stability, in particular for the detection of misuse, and
  4. for the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website.


The data is also stored in the log files of our system. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. We do not use the data to draw conclusions about a natural person.

There is a contact form on our website, which can be used to contact us electronically. If this option is used, the personal data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and stored. The processing of the personal data entered serves us solely to process your enquiry.


At the time the message is sent, the following data is also transmitted and stored:

  1. Date and time of the request
  2. URL from which the request was made
  3. IP address


Alternatively, it is possible to contact us via the e-mail addresses provided. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted with the e-mail will be stored. These include:

  1. Date and time of the request
  2. URL from which the request was made

as well as information about the servers involved in the e-mail communication.


It is also possible to contact us via the telephone number provided. In doing so, we collect log data that includes your telephone number and the duration of the call. As a matter of principle, we do not record conversations.



Recipients of the data


Our website is maintained by service providers who act as our processors. If you send us an enquiry regarding an offer, service providers used by us may receive data for these purposes, provided that they need the data to fulfil their respective services (e.g. IT services). All service providers are contractually obliged to treat your data confidentially.



Transfer abroad


Processing also takes place outside Switzerland, within the European Union (EU).

The EU is attested to an equivalent level of data protection. This means that personal data may be transmitted there without further safeguards.



Newsletter


Description and scope of data processing


If you are interested, you can subscribe to our newsletter by e-mail. The name is provided in order to enable a personal address in the newsletter and, if necessary, to identify it if rights as a data subject are to be exercised.

In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the "double opt-in" procedure (DOI) procedure for an online registration. This means that after subscribing to the newsletter, an e-mail will be sent in which the newsletter registration must be confirmed by clicking on a link.


At the time of DOI confirmation, the following data will also be stored:

  1. Place, date and time of registration
  2. IP address
  3. E-mail address
  4. If applicable, salutation, first name, last name

We use service providers for dispatch and the evaluations that take place, who act as our order processors. All service providers are contractually obliged to treat your data confidentially.

On our website, we offer the possibility to register by providing your own personal data. The data is entered into an input mask and transmitted to us and stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The following data is collected as part of the registration process:

  1. First name, last name
  2. E-mail address
  3. Password


At the time of registration, the following data will also be stored:

  1. IP address
  2. Date and time of registration
  3. As part of the registration process, your consent to the processing of this data will be obtained.


Your registration is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract with the user or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

For the registration process and customer management, we use Odoo S.A., Rue Laid Burniat n°5 Louvain-la-Neuve, Walloon Region 1348 as a technical service provider who acts as our data processor.

Processing also takes place outside Switzerland, within the European Union.

A cookie is a small piece of data that is created when visiting a website and cached on the user's system. Consent to the processing of personal data can be revoked at any time. This revocation will only take effect for the future. Edits made before the revocation are not affected.

EU GDPR Legal basis


The EU GDPR requires a legal basis for our processing of personal information. Our legal basis depends on the specific purpose of the data processing. We rely on:

  1. Performance of a contract when we provide our service, or communicate about it. This includes, among other things, the processing of personal information in the context of a membership, participation in events and payment processing.
  2. Our legitimate business interests and the interests of our customers, so that we can ensure our services from a technical point of view, when we detect and prevent fraud or abuse, to protect the safety of our customers, our own safety and that of third parties.
